Solutions Architect , Presales

Department: Cloud & Technical Services (Technical Services)
Location: Richmond Hill

The Solutions Architect (SA) will help drive Stratiform offerings and opportunities with our customers. This includes influencing the sale, deployment, and adoption of Stratiform Cloud services & solutions, including Cloud Roadmap Engagements, Microsoft Cloud Migration projects (including Azure, O365, EMS, Win10 and ConfigMgr), and enabling the sales teams to identify, qualify and pursue opportunities within both professional and managed services.

The SA is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer Stratiform Services experience. Working in conjunction with Sellers, as well as Stratiform delivery consultants and analysts, SAs own the Stratiform customer engagement including: discovery and scoping sessions, strategy and architecture, solution design, quoting and SOW/proposal creation. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading technical architecture and service delivery discussions with senior customer executives to drive deployment and adoption of Stratiform Solutions and Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to enable customers to architect, develop, deploy and consume Stratiform Services offerings.
  • Act with superior customer focus in mind as an integral member of the Stratiform sales and delivery teams in generating sales pipeline, accelerate technical sales cycle and secure technical closure using deep technical expertise in the core domain as well as in adjacent technologies.
  • Explain, demonstrate, and prove in-depth what Stratiformís offerings can do and how to enable, onboard & operate them for customers from SMB & mid-market to enterprise.
  • In conjunction with the Stratiform sales team, drive the sale, deployment, and adoption of Stratiform solutions.
  • Identify and eliminate technical and competitive blockers to sales.
  • Demonstrate the business value of Stratiform solutions based on an understanding of the customerís enterprise IT architecture, customer business priorities and the competitive landscape.
  • Own and drive technical portions of pre-sales opportunities from lead generation through to deployment and consumption by driving technical presentations, demonstrations, PoCís and Pilots, leveraging Stratiform consultants as needed.
  • Orchestrate cross-workload solutions and engage with Solutions Architects from other workloads.
  • Maintain and expand skill set on required sales skills, deployment and consumption capabilities.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of training to the Stratiform sales teams on go-to-market solutions.
  • Serve as the primary connection and orchestration point for other technical resources, providing guidance, best practices and escalation within the Managed Services practice area.
  • Creation of customer proposals and SOWs to support project delivery to facilitate customer engagements.

Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years of related experience in technical pre-sales and/or technical consulting roles.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, written, product demo and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior level executives.
  • Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations.
  • Contagious enthusiasm for and a desire to continuously learn new technology.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • Strong Microsoft Cloud solution experience.
  • Broad knowledge of and ability to explain key end-user scenarios and technical architecture in Office 365, EMS and Azure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance topics with regards to cloud and hybrid solutions and scenarios.
  • Drive collaborative decision making, eliminate roadblocks and execute on plans and initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to leverage internal and/or external resources.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.

Physical Requirements:

Office environment with computer work. May have extensive periods of sitting, typing and phone use (may include headset). May need to lift up to 10 lbs.
