Field Chief Technology Officer

Location: Calgary

General Accountability:

This position is responsible for leading technology driven strategies for Stratiform, as well as setting strategic transformational initiatives within our customersí organizations. Itís a senior role that serves to focus on our largest and most strategic customers in an advisory capacity, shaping the organizationís digital strategy and building the technical and non-technical roadmaps to drive their success.

Specific Accountabilities:

1.            Develop, lead and deliver large transformational cloud migration projects

2.            Define strategy, lead complex cross-functional teams and advance new and innovative technologies to improve customerís corporate profitability and performance.

3.            Develop IP, methodologies, frameworks and standards for Stratiform Digital Transformation offerings

4.            Provide billable consulting and advisory services, liaising with clients to understand and recommend solutions to meet needs

5.            Lead in designing, specifying and selecting product and service solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance

6.            Provide pre-sales technical support to enable customers to architect, develop, deploy and consume Microsoft Cloud solutions.

7.            Act with superior customer focus in mind as an integral member of the Stratiform sales and delivery teams in generating sales pipeline, accelerate technical sales cycle   and secure technical closure using deep technical expertise in the core domain as well as in adjacent technologies.

8.            Demonstrate the business value of cloud and hybrid solutions based on an understanding of the customerís enterprise IT architecture, customer business priorities and the competitive landscape.

9.            Own and drive technical portions of pre-sales opportunities from lead generation through to deployment and consumption by driving technical presentations, demonstrations, ADSs, PoCís and Pilots, leveraging Stratiform consultants as needed.

10.          Orchestrate cross-workload solutions and engage with Solutions Architects from other workloads.

11.          Maintain and expand skill set on required sales skills, deployment and consumption capabilities.

12.          Assist in the preparation and delivery of training to the Stratiform sales teams on go-to-market solutions.

13.          Serve as the primary connection and orchestration point for other technical resources, providing guidance, best practices and escalation within the Microsoft cloud practice area.

14.          Provide architecture and deployment guidance, develop project delivery IP and sales collateral and provide technical leadership to the presales and delivery teams.

15.          Participate in Stratiform and Microsoft technical communities and in the broader industry through events, blogs, whitepapers, and articles for the Microsoft cloud domain.

16.          Creation of customer proposals and SOWs to support project delivery.

17.          Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support

18.          Work with other team members to develop project schedule plans for implementation

19.          Responsible for technical writing and SOW writing to meet client needs and standards

20.          Solicit feedback regularly and strive to improve our relationships consistently, providing support to resolve any client issues. Ensure client inquiries and concerns are addressed in a timely manner

21.          Pursue continual learning opportunities on customer service, market, competition, sales, and industry terminology

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills & Abilities)

1.            Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering required, with an MBA preferred.

2.            Minimum 8 years in a technical environment and leadership role

3.            Good knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting and business office operations.

4.            Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, integration capabilities.

5.            Proven ability in IT planning, organization, and development.

6.            Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.

7.            Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

8.            Flexible work habits. Must be able to change priorities at a momentís notice. Willing to work extended hours if needed.

9.            Strong thought leadership.

10.          Strong relationships at senior technical levels within a broad customer base.


Physical Requirements

Office environment with computer work. May have extensive periods of sitting, typing and phone use (may include headset). May need to lift up to 10 lbs.
